Second hello...

Featured Replies

Hi again. Pondered over replacing our 22yr Peugeot 806 with a 2008 Fabia 1.4 TDI Greenline back in February to lower our running costs. Asked a few questions on here and after much procrastination bought the car. Gone from £270 tax/ 37mpg to £20/ 62mpg so happy in that respect. Bought from a dealer who buys p/ex Skoda's from main dealers. The car body wise is a bit tired but going by the mountain of receipts has been well looked after ( can you believe £500 for rear drums and shoes??). If the car lasts 3 years the savings on running costs mean it should pay for itself and I've got working air con/ stereo and first gear! Am a bit surprised tyre pressures are as high as 39psi and the ride is a bit hard and the engine is one of the noisiest diesels I've ever driven but relieved that it pulls well even with 4 of us and no-one complained of being cramped. First thing I bought was a spare wheel and tyre off eBay , feel a lot happier with that in the boot.

A warm welcome to the Forum !  Certainly agree about the spare.
