What screw bit do I need for this?

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I've attached some photographs, from the same screw in different locations in the car.

I just need to tighten the one on the passenger door, but I don't have the correct 'bit'.

I assumed it was a 'Torx' bit, but it seems to have lots more teeth than that.

I've tried all of the torx bits I have, but T40 is the biggest I have and that was still too small.

For the time being, I used a flathead screwdriver to get in their and make it 'tight enough', but I obviously don't want to damage the head.

What bit do I need?

Thanks,

Damian

Thanks nige8021,

Do you know which of those bits it is?

Thanks,

Damian

It will be one of these  (from the advert)  Spline bits x 30mm and 75mm: M5, M6, M8, M10 and M12

Thanks again nige8021,

Does anyone know which specific bit it is for this head?

There are obvious lots of different bit sets around. I've got lots of bits myself, just not this one. A different set may compliment my current bits better, with less duplication.

Cheers,

Damian
