Yes

If faulty because of wire damage or battery in siren flat then totally remove it. Remember and tell your insurers that factory fitted alarm no longer fitted.

Many thanks! Do you know where it's located and what's needed to remove it? 

Thanks also for the insurers tip - I've already checked with them through our brokers and their only concern is that the car is locked when unattended.
