Replacing front of exhaust without new cat?

Featured Replies

Ok, so I’ve just found this part on eBay, which I think will fit my car. (MOT picked up the flexi pipe needs replacing).

given it’s a lot cheaper than the pipe with the cat on, is it worth using this, or go for the whole system?

That might work, if it attaches to the cat, but will FAIL an MoT if it's a replacement.

Mea culpa; I meant that it would fail an MOT if it was a catalytic converter replacement, as Ross correctly interpreted my meaning.

I think this pipe is designed to be mated back to the original cat so should be fine.
