Which engine and which transmission? Also what year is the car?

Petrol Engine With Automatic Transmission DSG

2010 Model

Has the DSG been properly serviced? It needs a fluid and filter change every 60000 km. If this hasn't been done, the transmission could be damaged.

I don't know what you should do since you have provided very little information about your car or the problem. Which of the three petrol engine options do you have? Has this problem been there since you bought the car?

If you have just bought the car I would suggest going back to the dealer you bought it from and get them to fix it.

And check the service history.

Did they do the full DSG service at the last service? If not as noted earlier it might be the source of your problem.

First thing to check, does it have the correct fuel in it? Is the fuel contaminated with water/dirt? Has the filter been replaced recently? (air ingress/wrong filter).Do you have a large intake air leak? Do you have a split boost hose (hissing noise), Has the turbo packed up? Is the engine misfiring on all cylinders? Do you have a burnt out ignition coil/HT lead? (engine dependant) Is the EPC light on? Is the engine emission control light on? What codes are logged in word 01? You have to work out is the engine causing the judder OR the gearbox due to slipping/faulty clutch pack or mechatronics unit. If you struggle with finding out what I've suggested, take it to a garage with the correct equipment, this WILL save YOU time and money (IF THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING).

Not sure what the sale of goods law is where you are, but take it back for a refund may be the best option as you just bought it.
