K, are you able to activare the "trailer indicator light" in the dash, so it flashes when your trailer elctrics are connected, with your magic box of tricks? ( was thinking about Duxford etc)

It should be..........as was fitted by dealer prior to hand over, with the Skoda bits n bobs (I know tow bar is the Brinkomatic), but electrics should be "genuine".

All I get is a rapid flashing of the normal indicator light in the dash if a trailer bulb has blown (which seems stupid to me)

they are all set up this way i'm afraid the legal requirement is to have either an audiable or visual tell tale sign of indicators working on van/trailer. i have looked at info and although the dash has this feature it can't (well not easily) be used. sorry big k.

On SEAT to activate the trailer warning function on the dash you need to add 8 to the coding of either the dash or central electrics ECU.

Might be the same as Skoda, not sure

But this will have to be done with diag equipment
