Hi all, Anyone out there that has replaced the rear air vents still have the old parts?

I have just rebuilt mine but (as usual - anyone remember MFI?) am short of one part.

The part I need is the plastic plate that clips onto the back of the slider button to hold it in place.

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Parts of mine were in the air pipe that runs under the drink holder cubby. Ie beyond the bit that you can pull out from the vent hole. With the ash tray holder out you can get to it with a torch.

Hi, I've tried poking a bit of wire with sticky tape wound round the end down the air vent pipe with no luck. Initially I tried closing all the air vents up front and turning the fan on full power. I heard the part rattle up the pipe and think I saw it briefly. I thought it had blown out so turned the fans off but can't for the life of me find it. Even had the wife in full bloodhound mode looking for it with no luck.

Have been quoted £90.04 from local Skoda garage but that hurts for a 10p bit of plastic!!! We have a very good car breaker close by but they don't have a Superb in at the moment. I will probably pay them a visit with the parts (I only really need the plastic backplate to the slider) to see if it also fitted to Audi, Seat, VW,s which they might have.

I can't help thinking with all the owners on the forum who have replaced the full unit someone doesn't have the bit I need lying around with the old one?
