Had my new karoq sportline two months now, going from my beloved yeti to karoq

is like going to another level, but keyless entry has been giveing me nightmares.

when trying to deactivate do you

1 touch the door sensor 5s after locking.
2 touch the door sensor while mirrors are folding back

3 touch the door sensor when mirrors have folded back

4 can kessy be permanently disabled.

All covered in the owners manual. Press lock on the remote, within 5 seconds press lock indent on door handle.

Activation is confirmed by a flash of the indicators.

After about 10 seconds you can confirm yourself by grabbing the handle and it shouldn’t unlock.

Buy a Faraday cage key pouch and keep your keys in it when at home and you should only need to deactivate KESSY when you park in a dodgy area, not every time you lock it.

When parking over night I do the same as jimjill  I lock the car with the key fob then touch the door handle to lock right after as the mirrors fold. I also use a Farraday pouch.for my spare keys. At work I just lock it by touching the door handle.  All part of my routine now.

You are just touching the lock indent as illustrated, touching/grabbing the handle part will cause it to unlock

It's either that or you are checking your locking too soon after doing it.

i touch the lock within 5s then it just unlocks again.

                                                                                              jim

Just touch the sensor, no other part of the handle.
