No SD card slot

Featured Replies

My 2016 (65 uk) 1.2 SEL has the bolero radio and I have car play but there is no SD slot in the glove compartment or anywhere else as far as I can see. If I click on media it does show usb and SD. Looking through my manual there doesn’t seem to be anything to suggest some don’t come fitted with the adapter with the SD card slot.

Are you sure there's nothing in the glovebox? RHS at the top, just inside.

Thanks yes found it 😁 really hard to see without glasses and a torch. Thought I was going mad lol.

Now the fun begins when you find out what music file types will or won't play, and what size artwork will display for download / cd / album / cassette * covers to show up.

* Delete as required, age dependant.

So far so good. I have a NAS at home and all my files are FLAC lossless which seem to be working fine on the few albums I tried as did the artwork. Tried a 64gig SD card which also worked. Worked out I can get about 170 albums in lossless format on that. I suppose I could convert to a higher compression but I like to be able to use the same library to avoid confusion even though sound quality probably won’t be noticeable in a car.

And 170 albums is a lot of music, even scrolling through will take some time. I remember when I had a 10 cd multi player in the boot and thought it was the bees knees. I think I'll have a look at downloading some more myself. PS. Got any Spice Girls? 😎
