Psychoward666´s Magic

Featured Replies

Here is my Skoda Felicia Magic 1.3MPI with power steering.

I bought her (yes, my Felicia is she) because I wanted car in the UK and I had many Felicias before in Czech Republic.

She cost me £350, body was in very good condition, minimum rust, but the rest was not good. Locks didn´t work, I had to changed and electric windows don´t work, but I will repair soon.

I had to changed battery, because my alternator destroyed it. Also I had to changed alternator voltage regulator and engine control unit. I changed oil, all filters, spark plugs, wipers, temperature sensor, thermostat and exhaust gaskets.

Now I ordered many parts from Czech Republic and I want change timing chain and suspension before I will go to MOT (end of September).

Than I want buy some new wheels (BBS R14-R15) and tyres and lower springs, repair front electric windows and make rear electric windows, install electric mirrors (I can´t find handle with switch for UK Felicia).

And next year I want to go on trip around UK, especially Scotland.

Here is some photos

@PsychoWard666  Well, it looks cherry, but I suspect that any remaining electrical faults you have are hangovers from the failed regulator overcharging

Nice. Where did you order the repair kits for the front electric windows from? I have a set of front doors from a Magic which I want to rob the electric window mechanism from for my Caddy.

Not now; you have a window of maybe 2 hours from time of posting to edit a post.

@KenONeill Ok, thank you.

Yesterday I started timing belt change. After work I don´t have much time, I think that I will finish on Saturday.

1) No problem; it's far from obvious that the ability to edit a post times out until it happens to you.

2) I'm remembering correctly; there's no tensioner on the timing chain? If so, then it can become slack enough to get noisy in half that mileage.

  • Author

@KenONeill No, there is no tensioner.

Today I put new timing chain and gears on car, it is much better

I'm liking the name of the tyre brand. " Lucky land "

Nice looking Motor, our first ever Skoda was a V reg ( 1999 plate ) Felicia Pacific 1.3, bought it new for £8250

But those tyres are totally craps....I bought this car with those tyres, but at this moment I have three different brands on the car. I want buy new tyres before I will go to the MOT.

What sort of paint? Normal "body paint" will cook and burn off at the temperatures brakes can reach.
