I'm currently looking at some Superb Mk3 280's but I'm having a hard time finding some solid info on what DSG box is in which model, initially I though it was the DQ500 which turns out it wasn't, now I'm seeing DQ381 and DQ380, the former apparantly being just the 4x4 version of the latter, which I assume would be in a 66-plate Sportline 4x4? And if so are they generally reliable boxes compared to the earlier DQ200's for example.

The previous/current 6-speed DSG was/is the DQ250.

 

This is being replaced by the 7-speed DQ380 and DQ381 (AWD version).

 

The 7-speed DQ200 (dry) is still in use in lower powered models.

I don't know if this one is being replaced.

 

Skoda hasn't used the DQ500 in any of their range.

My 2018 Kodiaq 2.0 Tsi 180 has the DQ500 7 speed DSG.

Strange, it should be a DQ380. DQ500 is normally for bigger blocks as far as I understood...

DQ500 is used in the VW T5/6 and Audi TTRS so could well be.

Kodiaq s now have the DQ380/DQ381 but for some reason early ones have the DQ500.

At launch the 2.0 TSI and 2.0 TDI in both 150/190PS guises had the DQ500, and from MY19 onwards, the 2.0 TSI and 2.0 TDI 150 have the DQ381 with the 2.0 TDI 190 & 240 (Kodiaq RS) still having the DQ500.

OK, I had forgotten the TDI 240... and I had in mind that TSI 180 was the 1.8l instead of 2.0... Thanks for 'showing me the light'! 😁
