Featured Replies

So ive spent the best part of yesterday trawling the internet for videos of resonated exhausts for my 230 FL.  Anyone got any examples?

i just don’t think I could live with non res.

If you're anything like me, you wouldn't 😉 - properly did my head in for the 2 months I was centre silencer-less before got it fitted.

I went with a turbo-back Scorpion resonated system and haven't looked back.

+ 2

I hated the standard lifeless exhaust with the fake sound generator so I ended up going for a full Remus sport exhaust with the race pipe/link tube & the sound controller to open & close the valves (4 different settings) never looked back but is pricey.

Remus was my 1st choice, my 2nd choice was Scorpion but either one of these 2 you can't go wrong with, some folks have the Milltek exhaust & there is other brands available (Supersprint, Bull x & Fox)

anyone have a BCS powervalve exhaust fitted to an octavia 3 estate? is there anything different underneath between hatch and estate as regards exhausts?

Ads have you got a video mate of your resonated exhaust?  Just so I know what it will sound like?  I’m looking for a bit more life than the mute OEM system.  Do you get any DSG brrrpps?  I would love the DSG sound just not the drone.

Sadly no, and tbh I've not got the equipment available that will provide decent audio anywhere different to the YouTube videos.

I'd advise best thing to do is to go to your local Brisky meetup - wherever that is - and see if someone can show you theirs. Mine was one of the first few to get a full system added, so there weren't that many videos on Youtube for it - and those I saw on here were not much better in terms of video audio quality.

I guarantee a res'd cat-back setup will be great for you; it's not too loud or droney, but absolutely does the job.

Nope, because I have a manual. But I get burbles on overrun, so it's excellent there ;)

Don't think so @encephalopathy - at least nothing has come up on configurators for Scorpion etc, outside of pre-FL or FL versions.
