Roomster seatbelts

Featured Replies

Hi folks

thanks for letting me in , and Help!! My Skoda Roomster drivers seat belt is driving me mad, in hot weather the belt refuses to come out so I can plug in and drive, I have stripped the trim of to have a look all seem okay apart from some sort of switch with what looks like a filter on top, if I blow down this with an airline it seems to do the trick and in cold weather everything is fine, my car has just failed the MOT because of this problem, I have just done the above and it now works fine but in hot conditions it my lock up again, anyone know what this valve is and how I can fix it ?

thanks for any help you can offer and has anyone ells had this problem ?

The only thing I've ever known help a sticking seat belt is liberal spraying with silicone spray - or furniture polish. Keep working the belt in and out spraying both sides then letting it back in. It's worked for me in the past on several vehicles. I have no idea what the valve is sorry.

Hi Techle

The only thing I can think of it’s something to do with the air bags, it’s all very annoying and I hope I can sort it. Everyone ells seems to have problems retracting the seat belt 😳 not getting the thing out.

many thanks for your interest
