Getting Waze sound whilst plugged into usb

Featured Replies

Octy 3 2.0 TDI se l 2016

Attempting to use Waze app and charge via USB point

Via Michelin works  ok  ( via USB plug in)but Waze cuts sound when USB connected

Music from my device comes through via speakers

I'd be happy to get sound through phones speaker but failing

When I charge phonevia cccigarette lighter and adaptor the Waze is fine via phone( sound included.

Just to repeat I dont especially want sound to come via speaker but would like It to charge for  duration of journey

Not expecting Waze screen to appear on my Octavia nav screen either

Thanks

If you pay £137 for SmartLink it will appear on the screen. Would be a much better solution all around and then you can do a lot more with SmartLink.

Is the £137 Pawel’s cost for rework ?

It's how much a Skoda dealer will (should) charge to add the licenses and enable it.

It came with a lot of cars from 2017 as standard but cars from (I think) MY16 are capable of it, they need it enabled though. The difference is whether you have the MIB2 unit in the glovebox. MIB1 can't do it.

Thanks

All SE-L’s should have it available as an option. That trim level replaced the Elegance for MY16. When the facelift came along they made it standard.

No, that’s the cost of dealer activation of the car already has a MIB2.
