From Yeti to Superb

Having owned 3 Yetis between 2011 and 2019 - two diesels and one petrol - I moved to a 2018 Superb 2.0 TDi SEL Executive 190 DSG, just ten days ago. Formerly a Skoda Management car, eleven months old with a mere 3,470 on the clock, it had my name on it. Apart from giving it a good clean and having yet another towbar fit by Phil Taylor Towbars at Horndean, I have only done local running to date. So far, impressed by the extra comfort, quiet cabin and just how economical it appears to be.

What it says on the tin, really; recently my oil warning light came on, flashed a few times, made a really loud intermittent beeping sound, and then turned off again. This happened several times during a journey, but actually stopped after a little while. I checked the oil level, and its fine, so I reckon it's an issue with the oil pressure sensor/switch (I did get an OBD tool, but that came up as no error codes, so I'm really in the dark here). First time starting a project thread, bear with me... Heard about this Roomster not too far from me that might be heading for a scrapyard, and decided to try to acquire it. I already had a lot of help to fix broken gear selector - thanks! I also found that the passenger side front suspension spring has broken - so I'm off to the garage for that! For the past few weeks my Skoda Scala Infotainment unit has been prompting me to do updates. Almost everyday I get the prompt to do an update. I only get the one prompt in a day. I believe the procedure is to park, accept the update, turn off the ignition, exit the car and lock it. I think some updates only apply when you next start the car. I used a copy of this MSTD_EU_SK_P6230 MU0490 if anyone else needs, the site I think I had it from was mibsolution.one is currently down though. I was wary of the copy I had and passage of time, but it worked fine installed, I just have to clear the fault code ( have odbeleven but pro ran out and doesn't cover the adaption by looks of it) Excuse the state of my interior I don't use the car that much and could use a vaccuum.
