I’ve just finished over the weekend with changing the colour of my grill surround on my 07 Octavia VRS from chrome to black using Plastidip, photo to follow....

 

The car is Race Blue and I’m undecided as to what badge to put on the grill, any thoughts?

Can’t help thinking the original won’t work that well...🤔

Grill refitted last night...

£10.40 can of Plastidip, happy 😊 with the results...

I do love that badge although I’m not loving the 45 euros price...😲

If you can't stretch to the €45, then it has to be the chrome and black. 

 

The black and black just looks like the logo has  delaminated.

 

The original logo does delaminate as I'm currently experiencing. 

 

I fitted the chrome and black wheel inserts over 5 years ago to replace the delaminating green ones and they are still holding up. 

 

Just thinking.... couldn't you do the blue and black yourself? 

 

At least give it a go.......

Isn’t there a Red one on here that would look fantastic as well  and I dint think it would be difficult to DIY

the coloured badges are for the MK3 Octavia and are slightly larger and won’t fit on the grill...🙄

 

I’ve got someone who is going to try and paint the chrome one blue for me... photos to follow once completed and refitted...

 

I’ve also replaced the VRS badge for the MK3 black VRS badge so as to match the grill surround, I’m sure some will love it and some will hate the unoriginality (is that a word?)...

So I’ve finally received my Race Blue badge in the post, this one came on a slow boat from China in the end... they might need to double check the colour of Race Blue...🤣

 

I like the black grill, new Skoda badge and later VRS badge but I appreciate it may not appeal to the purists...🤔

Forgot to mention new number plate as well...😚

BMW badge just to throw people. Like my Audi centre caps on my summer alloys.
