Blank Touch Screen

Featured Replies

As mentioned above the touch screen in my mk3 Fabia has gone blank, it still turns on & the radio works & it still responds to touch but nothing is displayed. It worked fine & then left the car for ten minutes & when I came back the screen had gone blank & there was only a horizontal line on the screen when it turned on.

Is there a diy fix or is it donald ducked, if so then would it be covered under warranty as I'm guessing a new one wouldn't be cheap.

Never mind it's fixed itself!

Doesn’t sound good though. Sounds a bit drastic even for a software crash. See how it goes but if it does it again I would be tempted to see about getting it replaced under warranty.

Apparently its caused by the system not shutting down properly.

Ah ok. Interesting

Keep a log of any faults and mention it to your dealer/workshop.

I had an intermittent fault for nearly 3 years but the unit could

not be changed as no evidence could be found of the fault.

finally I rushed the car into the workshop and had it filmed.

Unit changed!

I'm sick of going back to the main dealers, it seems to spend more time there than on my drive.
