Help identifying noise if possible??

Featured Replies

Hi all, since Friday evening gone i've noticed a weird rubbing or grinding type noise coming from the front of the car which is a 2010 Superb Elegance with 166000 miles on the clock,

Basically at any speed if i keep my foot feathering the throttle theres no noise

let go of the throttle and the sound appears

Touch the break pedal and the sound goes

Also with the noise present if i move the steering wheel a fraction to the left the noise goes

And at low speeds i.e taking off from a start or moving around carparks etc the sound is more clunky, seems to me that its coming from the driver side front

The car also seems to suffer intermittently from a vibration at idle,

Clutch is good with a good low biting point, gear change is fine, car drives fine with no pulling left or right under braking or acceleration

I'll upload a small clip from the spin to work this morning and you might be able to hear the sound around midway in the video

Regards
