DPF regen and AdBlue consumption questions

Featured Replies

  1. What factors influence the AdBlue consumption? When i rolled out the car from the dealers it stated AdBlue range of 6000km. Now after 2700km it says 9500km. 🙂
  2. What factors influence the on the DPF regen interval?

Adblue I believe it’ll have many different factors like the way you drive or the sort of mileage you do per day.

dpf regen it’s when the car is ready to do it.

With AdBlue usage and an increasing range as time goes past you can not even assume that you drive in such a way that you are getting great fuel economy and a good range from each tank of fuel that the AdBlue used will be low.

Sometimes though if you are getting really bad fuel economy the AdBlue is used up quicker.

With my 2016 2.0TDI SCR DSG i firmly beleive there is still an Defeat Device in the ECU / Engine Management and over time / miles as regens or bloked DPF warnings come up the car is using less AdBlue.

On the other hand it could just be faulty, not anything to do with them, well that will be what Seat / VW would say if in a court of law.

By 30,000 miles and on filling up to the same level of AdBlue shows a 9,000 mile range.

I picked my car up with 6500 miles of adblue range, my car sits at 70 on the motorway for 400 miles a week.

I have done 7K and the adblue range has only gone down to 4000 miles.
