Custom mapping on high mileage Yeti?

Featured Replies

I am a bit skeptical about remapping my Yeti. It has ran about 250k kms or about 155k miles. I was told that remapping the car to increase power at such high mileage would stress out the engine. Is that true? Would custom mapping or in other words remapping would harm the engine?. It's a 2.0L TDI, EA189 2013 make. About 2 years or more, the guys at Skoda updated my car's ECU without my authorization to reduce power due to emissions scandal.

I would recommend mapping back to close to standard. Look after dpf and egr.
