Rear driving light bulbs - intermittent fault message

Featured Replies

So I picked up a Roomster (steel grey '11 1.2tsi 63kW) as a winter car last week, and so far I'm getting along very well with it. I've been a fan of the model for ages and I was able to get a hold of a decent one, although it needs a bit of work.

I'm getting intermittent fault readings on the rear driving light bulbs on the right hand side of the car, seems like they come on on cold mornings, and in the afternoon when it's a bit warmer the lamps seem to be working fine.

I haven't had time to take the lamp apart yet to check it out, but I wanted to check if anyone else here have encountered the same issue.

Hi C, I've never had any problems with rear lights.

There not difficult to get out.

When you get time, might be good to see if you have any condensation or water ingress inside the lights.

Probably demands a proper fix, but tapping the rear lamp in question, they flick back on again. I'll have a proper look at it later, doesn't look like there's any water in the lamp at least.
