Has anyone used one of the little dongles to enable high beam assist (or any other function)?

 

My 2018 Superb has lane assist.

I had a Kufatec dongle to supposedly enable auto-lights on my A3 a couple of years ago after switching the sensor from wipers only to wipers + lights.

 

... It never worked. I had to dig around til I found the code I needed to change using Carista.
