Does that still illuminate green ? or is it Red ? (VW) ?

VW red, I replaced the window switches whilst I was at it to vw chrome tipped ones. Like above the mirror switch mine also needed some tinkering with the wires as up was down and left was right and so on.

The mirror switch is polo 7r I'm sure, the mirror switches are from a Tourag If I remember correctly, I purchased a couple of switches and the LED was blue🙃 That did look awful.

Well at last, and now the frosty mornings are behind us (ha ha), I eventually had a lok at the wiring. True enough the black and yelow wire had broken and the thicker brown (which loks like the main supply) was down to its last few filaments - I'm surprised it was able to carry any current. It was a bit of a struggle getting enough loom out of the door to effect a repair but all done now and they warm up nicely.

Many thanks to Wino and Urban Panzer for your help

Well here we go again, they've stopped working so I'm putting my money on the loom again. I am minded to get a replacement so does anyone know the part number? I guess it must be on a tag on the loom but I'd like to have the replacement before I strip the door.

Sorry, 2012 Roomster diesel. I guess its the same loom as a Fabia?

I’ve replaced a drivers side glass before now that burnt out, but recently I’ve had both driver and passenger sides stop working. Just checked fuse 18 and that looks fine so looks like the door cards are coming off 😞.  @Merlindriverwhere abouts we’re your wires damaged? Near the switch or near down near the door hinge that has the rubber boot on it?

It's down by the rubber boot and appears to be a common problem. Not sure if it's the quality of the insulation or just the deometry of the door but the signal wire (yellow black I think) was broken and 2 others about to break. It's a bit of a fiddle but I managed to splice in new wires in situ but this time probably going to have to get the loom out.
