How to disassemble the plastic housing all around the gear lever?

Hi,

I've randomly found a tutorial in the "Audi world", where someone explained how he inverted the shift up/down directions in manual mode on his Audi S8.

Based on his explanation, it seems very easy... once you've removed the plastic parts all around...

As I also fully dislike the VAG shifting logics, i.e.: push the lever to shift up and pull to shift down, instead of pulling to shift up and pushing to shift down (as on many sport cars / see BTCC, DTM, WTCC, WRC, etc.), I'd like to do the same.

Therefore, I need to know how to remove the housing around the DSG gear lever, from the ashtray (below A/C buttons) to the front centre armrest?

If any of you could send me some pictures from Elsawyn, it'd be great and very useful.

If I do the modification, for sure, I'll make a tutorial too.

At least, this thread will help those who simply need to remove these parts.😁
