Featured Replies

hi

All sites seem to list 2 types of shock absorbers, can anyone tell me the difference between the G02 vs G06 dampers?

thanks

Link?
It will also be useful if you provide full details of the vehicle you intend to fit them to.

Look on the build sticker in the boot and see if either of those PR codes appears.

Where about is this sticker? Never noticed it?

Usually under any carpet near the spare wheel well. May be a copy of it in the service book too.

Not sure that shocker fittings are included in that list.

Can you help him/her locate the sticker Graham, was I right about the location? Not too familiar with Yeti.

It's on some cars' stickers, so worth a look. Is yours not on there @Llanigraham?

yeap its in my service book bottom line GO6

@llamamoo

Welcome.

Quick answer to your question seems to be nobody can tell you the difference.

But get the ones your Yeti requires.

?

What Yeti have you got?

You were right, it is roughly in the same place on the Yeti.
And Tony confirms the type is listed on that sticker.

All we need now is a few more random screenshots from George...

@Wino

We need more people not answering the question the OP asked.

You are a great help, but not answering the question just as i am not.

I put that screen shot up as i saw the Rear Shocks as G02 , G06

The OP needs to find the sticker for their vehicle.

I disagree.

I agree with that.

So what is the difference, or are you about to advise pay a few quid get the answers online, or just argue because that is fun for you.,

So what is the difference

On the balance of probabilities the reason the OP is asking the question is that he/she is wanting to simply buy some new replacement shocks.  Until he/she returns we can't know that for sure, maybe they want to upgrade their suspension, and thinks this info is pertinent, none of us know, yet.

But proceeding along the lines of gathering directly relevant information from sources the OP is likely to have access to, I feel that we had it covered before you threw in your 2p.

Wading in with statements like "nobody can tell you the difference" when you can't either seems futile or hostile, maybe both.

Nobody has told the difference. 'So seems nobody can tell you the difference here just now'.

Someone will be able to.

No wonder people come here then fail to return sometimes.

I suggest you endeavour to try to find or become that someone, rather than endlessly waffling. Ignoring you henceforth.

I wish you would ignore because really at the moment the OP needs to maybe give some info.  Like many here the Ignore button seems faulty.

Yours is not that much of a help presently.

Behind the bike shed at playtime it is then!!

I have added "certain people" to my Ignore list. 😃
Makes a great improvement!

Why not be brave and say who you mean?

@Llanigraham has told me before as others have i am on their ignore button.

They do not troll me as you do @Wino by using my christian name when you do not know me, and making snide posts about mine.

I believe it came with G02 as it's a Yeti 110bhp, however the G06 seem to the 'Heavy Duty' version. As i do occasionally go off-road a bit, I'd rather get the G06 if they fit.

Would it be the G02 are 50mm diameter and G06 are 55mm?
