Skoda Sportline seat

Featured Replies

Anyone have any tips/suggestions for preventing damage to the wing of the drivers side seat. Getting in and out of the vehicle you naturally tend to squash and rub on in, i can see this will damage the seat in the long run, Thinking a seat cover but hopeing over time the foam in the seat doesnt get broken down from contant compressing. Can already see some of the internal ribbing showing through the leather.
See comparison pics to the passenger side.

Using a leather protector would help keep the leather in good shape, however there's not much you can do for the foam in the bolster. Perhaps getting the side steps added to your car will help, but that's pretty expensive if you just want them for the side bolster.

Alcantara seems to be very solid, I have no worries about wearing it off.

But you can activate Easy Entry with VCDS, this will roll your seat back every time you open the door to get out.

Better get used to it. Skoda seem to get quite a bit of negative criticism for the quality of the leather, or plastic leather they use on their seat bolsters.

The side steps don't help, we have them and they aren't practical for adults to use to get in and out of the car, unless you're very short.

Be careful with seat covers too, make sure you buy some that are adapted to allow proper airbag deployment. Covering the seats with covers in an effort to preserve them kind of defeats the object though.
