Android Auto issue on Amundsen unit

Featured Replies

Strange one now, after using Android Auto without issue since having the car, I'm now faced with a blank black screen when I connect my pixel 3 XL via the USB cable? I know that it's connected as when I remove the USB cable from the phone the head unit display tells me that the pixel 3 XL is disconnected. Plus if I have music playing on the SD card slot 2 or on the radio it doesn't stop playing when I press the APP button on the screen. It's almost like the APP button is only partially working.

Is the smart link on a limited, say 2 year free subscription? Or could it be some other issue?

The car is an Octavia SEL 2.0 TDI DSG reg Nov 2017 and the phone is less than 12 months old and updated regularly.

It's driving me nuts, as I always, normally run with Google maps on.

Reset the radio and the phone and then try another cable. SmartLink isn’t on subscription, it’ll always be there.

Cheers Sasha, wasn't sure how to reset the stereo, so turned the phone off. Then back on, reboot didn't work earlier, but now back and working again. Your a star👍

I was getting a tad worried for the best part of the day. 🙄

Press the on/off button for 10 seconds.

Yep, had the same error with mine especially after an app update and the infotainment system never came back online until I shut the car down for a minute and restarted it.

Come to the conclusion that Skoda have tried to be too clever and its backfired.

Thanks Rodge, I'll remember that for next time. 👍
