DSG auto clutchpack

Featured Replies

Hi all,

We own a 2013 Roomster 1.2 DSG auto, bought from Skoda approved scheme, ex-motobility, full Skoda service history 15K mileage when we purchased in Nov 2016. Now 30K miles and the clutches need to be changed at a cost of circa £1500. The Skoda dealership we have it serviced at maintain that its not subject to the failures noted here. I am astonished that the gearbox clutches have failed / are failing at half the mileage I would expect a manual car to need attention. Any advice would be welcomed.

Failure signs were a reluctance to move off and a groaning noise from the gearbox, both signs are intermittant at the moment

Welcome.

Check with Skoda UK Customer Services, or the Main Dealership that should know, and have told you.

Was Service Campaign '34H5' required on your DSG and carried out.

It was started in 2017 and required by some DQ200 DSG from 2013-2015.  A Software update.

This was a preventative Service Campaign.   If done there should be a sticker in the spare tyre well with '34H5- on it.

It does not usually show on here even when required.

Update :- We have addressed the issue with Skoda customer services and the Roomster goes in tomorrow for diagnostics to show the exact problems, whereupon we will wait to find out what they will offer to do 'Goodwill gesture'. So we'll see.
