Colimbus bluetooth wies

Featured Replies

Hi guys...ive tried to find the answer through the forum but haven't managed to find my answer.

I have 2010 superb estate. It has bluetooth which connects to my phone via rsap (frustrating). I dont have the option to play music vis bluetooth through the media screen.

In maxidot there are no options within phone or bluetooth to allow music to be played or the connection to be anything other than bt handsfree.

My question is will changing the BT module give me the option in the media section of columbus? And if so which module do i need?

Everyon else seems to have a different issues with the bluetooth.

Im unsure at the moment. Ill whip it out in the morning and check.

If you go into the Bluetooth menu on the MFD, is there an option anywhere to switch it from 'Premium' to Hands Free? The setup always defaults to rSAP (Premium) but aside from some early modules, there was an option to change it to HFP instead.

There's also no need to go pulling any wires out to check what Bluetooth module you have: it's under a plastic cover beneath the driver's seat. Just slide the seat back all the way and slide the cover forward. The label will be facing you and you should be able to read the part number from it easily.

The module number is 5N035 730c

I think that you might need something like a 3C8-035-730-B bluetooth unit.

Good luck!

Is that a straight swap? Or will i need to do something to columbus?

Easy straight swsp I believe.

It'll depend how the BT module is configured. I'd away suggest having new modules coded in using VCDS or similar.
