Change of keeper and tax.

Recommended Posts

I am shortly going to swap fabias with my daughter( mk2 for mk1) doing the transfers and tax online. Do I tax the new vehicle first then transfer the keeper or the other way round? Many thanks I’m sure you learned people will know. Looking up on the internet I get conflicting views.

...If kept off road, driveway etc, cancel first. Of course, you could just add each other to the insurance (Better for fully comp)or check if you are both insured to drive each others on your own policy (This will only be third party cover, usually) and carry on without the change. Easier if you share an address of course.
