Dangling hose

Featured Replies

Hello everyone! Just picked up my first Skoda, a new RS245 and couldn’t help but notice a hose dangling a little lower than the rest of the undercarriage.

Looking at the pictures, is this by design? I tugged at it and it seems firm but find it odd that it’s not flush with the rest of the undercarriage. Certainly not something I noticed on previous cars.

It's at the back?

Just looks like the handbrake cable. Hangs that low on my car and its all correctly clipped in.

Not quite sure if it’s the handbrake cable. it’s right under where the rear right passenger would sit. Here’s another look from further back.

It looks normal to me, the first image makes it look too low.

The second image confirms it's normal, at least to me.

The metal prong is in situ and doing its job.

Normal 🙂

Its 100% the handbrake cable, nothing else uses a hanger like that one. Itll run from the lever to the wheel.
