I'm unable to activate side assistance and keep getting message that it's not available. I suspect it's going to be a dealer visit to reset but anyone had this problem and have a fix for it please ? 

This can sometimes happen with aftermarket towbar installations - do you have one?

Dropped mine off this morning to have this looked at.

 

The other symptom I have is that even though the 'Blind Spot monitor' is activated it's not working (no warning).

If I try to either activate 'Side Assist' or deactivate 'Blind Spot monitor'  I get the 'Function Unavailable' message.

 

According to a few other threads it should be solved by a software update/reboot.

All sorted. Just needed the update!  As per another thread the 'Side Assist' option is gone from the menu. The 'Blind Spot monitor' is working again. I wonder if they accidentally added two options for the same system and it confused itself...

I have the Skoda factory fitted towbar which switches side assist off when hitched. Been working since last tow then just started coming up function not available. 

@ewlmr How did you update the software please? did you do it yourself? I got the same issue and wondering how I can update the software. Thanks
