Cam belt cost

Featured Replies

Hi peeps

What sort of cost am I looking at for a cam belt change (non skoda dealer/garage), supply and fit?  I'm in Surrey so  it completely sure what garages charge in terms of labour.

As a ballpark figure I recently had my work Caddy done at local Indy, belt, water pump, coolant and tensioner for £166 + vat for parts and 3x £54 + vat for labour.

Can't imagine a 2.0 being much different to a 1.6?

Skoda dealer do fixed price with water pump for £479 iirc

Hi Nick, we can confirm from the registration provided, that the vehicle has a timing chain. This means there are no servicing intervals as it should last the lifetime of the vehicle.

We hope this information helps and if you require any further support please don't hesitate to contact us again and we'd be happy to assist you further!

I think that makes sense - some 1.4TSi's do have cambelts but I have read that this only applies to the 1.4 TSi with ACT (cylinder shut off). That wasn't an option for the S II.
