Where can I get oil and parts from?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm due a full service and want to buy the oil and various parts myself. I did order stuff from a chap recommended on here a few years ago (he worked as part of VW group), but I'm not getting any joy through messaging him.

Does anyone know a source for cheaper and reliable genuine VW parts?

Thanks in advance!

Oils can be bought from SUK dealers online, Ebay, Amazon, Euro Car Parts or other motor factors companies as can the other parts, look for voucher/discount codes.

Do your research by getting the relevant part numbers and Google them and see what comes up, sometimes ordering them from the Czech Republic can actually be cheaper than a UK dealer.

Opie oils or Euro car parts (search for a discount code) would be my first ports of call for oil and filter.

Both will supply oil and filters.

If you have the crappy plastic sump plug you may want to see about getting a new one, or at least the oring.

Genuine VAG VW 507.00 oil here, from a Skoda main dealer based in Scotland.

Less than £24 for 5 litres delivered to your door...

Not exactly, but +1 from me for Opie Oils. I get parts and oil from them delivered to my door for less than I can buy them at trade price from my local motor factors.

Their website will search parts from your registration number, and does give the part numbers and has a cross reference to show relevant part numbers from other manufacturers making the same part.
