Cost of map updates

Featured Replies

The Skoda UK website says that you have free updates to the satnav maps for three years. But what happens after that?

Can you still update the maps?

Do you have to pay to download the updates? And if so, what does it cost?

Different manufacturers seem to vary enormously, from Audi who charge 100 to 250 euro for every update(!) to VW who give you free updates until they stop supplying the satnav hardware in new cars!

Chris

I have a 2015 Octavia and have still been able to download the map updates free (I'm running the 2019/20 maps released in May), it seems Skoda don't (haven't?) been taking any notice of what they say....

My car is SKODA Octavia 2015 1.4 CNG The VIN number of my car is TMBJM9NE7G0123273. How do I find what system I have?  Amundsen Mb1 or Amundsen Mb2?

Hey mate,

Hold down menu for 5 seconds and it will go into the service menu.

Click the first option and will show you the part number.

Type the VIN number into the Skoda update portal and it will offer the correct update.
