Car Mechanics: 11 page in depth DSG special

Featured Replies

This months Car Mechanics (available from all good newsagents :)) features an "11 page in-depth report" on Direct Shift Gearbox Mechatronics. How to DIY remove. What is involved in servicing etc.

Should make a good read. I'm off to find out...

Hmmmmmmmmmm, I may just have to get myself a copy. I'm still confused after driving over 38000 miles as to why my DSG box continues to change down to 3rd during engine braking at circa 30 to 36mph shooting the rev counter quite high. Making it sound like it's revving it's aris orf. I promptly stick it into M and go back up to 4th until the mph gets down to less than 30mph then change it back to D

👍 Note added to my calendar to get a copy, cheers Nik

I used to get the magazine on subscription but I forgot to renew. I must start again, I always found it an interesting read. Thank you for the heads-up.

They are doing something on DSG clutch packs in an upcoming issue, so it would be worth a re-subscribe, I look forward to it dropping every month.

Part on DQ200 DSG,s should be short and sweet. 'According to VW no servicing required.'
