We're getting used to out 68 plate SE Technology and have a couple of questions regarding CarPlay / iPhone integration

 

1) Can you answer a call using the buttons on the Steering Wheel?

We've worked out how to activate Siri using the "Voice" button on the Left-Hand spoke. Earlier models have a "Phone" button on the Right-Hand spoke, but we have a "View" button.

 

2) I take it that Skoda Connect only works if my iPhone is connected using Bluetooth and WLAN. Are it and CarPlay mutually exclusive?

When a call rings in on mine, it shows on the display between the dials. If you press the right hand wheel that answers. Pressing the View button during a call alternates between current view (eg MPG) and phone/CarPlay  status. Pressing the right wheel when in Phone status activates the highlighted command (eg Disconnect).

If your phone hotspot is active (you need to do it each time unfortunately) then the car car still connect to the WiFi. CarPlay disables the Bluetooth.
