facelift vRS front bumper retrofit

Featured Replies

I want to retrofit front bumper from vRS model and i don't know how to connect the led fog lights.

I can't find anywhere the wiring diagram.

Mine fog lights are using H8 bulbs.

Does anyone tried to retrofit front bumper from vRS model to non vRS model?

There are 4 fog lights on the vRS compared to 2 on the non vRS. They are H8 anyway, not LED. Not sure how you would go about wiring in the extra fogs as they are separate channels on the BCM but you don’t need them. Could just keep the 2 you have on the outer bulbs and leave it.

You are talking about prefacelift vRS.

I'm talking about facelift model.

The prefacelift fog lights doesn't fit on the facelift bumper. So I must find a way to turn on the led fog lights.

Hi I don’t expect a reply but I thought I’d give it a go. I’m asking the same question as you. Did you ever get the vrs bumper put on? I would assume you’d need a pair of vrs fogs and they just plug in to existing wire?

Hi, I have the same question.

I have an octavia scout 2019 but due to a front end hit I have installed VRS front bumper. The foglights I have are full LED foglights and no removable bulbs.

They require 3 wires in each fog light

I have the following wiring diagram showing the original 2 wires going from the fog light to the bcm 1524607792_Screenshot_20221101-191128_SamsungNotes.thumb.jpg.2c84c8f84246c06c7a362b27336cd51a.jpg

And this is how it should be wired into the fog light and the BCM

1162476632_Screenshot_20221106-044352_SamsungNotes.thumb.jpg.0ef0aebd706322ec4cf76282e4df3b7f.jpg

So from plug B at the BCM I have moved

grey/yellow wire from pin45 to pin32

grey/green wire from pin 5 to pin4

Added the 2 extra wires

Yellow/grey to pin10

Green/grey to pin21

After doing this I would like to know how to activate these changes via coding.

When checking live data for foglights it still mentions the location as pin45 for the left fog and pin 5 for the right fog.

How do I code the new changes in to let the module know I have fitted in LED foglights and the new pin locations.

Any help will be appreciated

Thank you

Can you post a vcds autoscan and adaption map for 09 (bcm) please 👍

Hi langers2k

I have attached a text document which contains all modules which I backed up yesterday.

I have attached here history.txt

Thanks

@langers2k was that file any good to you?

Thank you

It should have all the info needed in it.

As it's from OBDevelen, it somewhat difficult for me to parse and compare to a VCDS file. I'll try and get round to it soon...

I'd suggest looking at the following adaption channels in your BCM:

- Left value is from my 2018 vRS

- Right value is from your history.txt

It should be as simple as changing each channel from the right to left values.

You might need to do some translation as I think VCDS and OBDeleven can show slightly different terminology

Not sure if the 'fehlerort mittleres byte dtc-dfcc' or 'lampendefektbitposition' channels need touching. I'd ignore those for now and concentrate on the other channels.

Thank you so much thats perfect. I input everything as you told me and it worked.

Really appreciate the time you took out to help.
