Superb Estate

Featured Replies

Hi, we’re looking to buy the Superb estate to replace our Golf estate. I was initially looking at the SE, but after reading the specs I’m now considering the SE L. Tinted windows, I was wondering if there is any option as to the degree of tint? Should I get factory fitted or would it be better to get them done after purchase?

Any advice on buying this model/spec would be very much appreciated..

To the best of my knowledge no manufacturer gives you the option as to the degree of tint, if you want darker then it's a modification by a 3rd party. And if it's a modification then it should be declared to your insurer who may happily charge you more.

Everyone will have their own preference, personally I think the factory tint is OK.

Alternatively you can specify build-in rear sunblinds (£180) as an option on a new build.

Hi, i have a 2018 Superb est SE and i spec’d the privacy glass at order. I personally think it looks good, really suits the car and the colour i chose (petrol blue). Looks quite dark from the outside looking in and you struggle to see in the car, but from inside looking

out theres not

much difference from the front windows.
Really good car, so smooth and quiet on motorways, its the 1.4tsi that i have. Not the quickest but more than ample for what i need it for and even when fully loaded it doesnt struggle. Boot is enormous, still amazes me how much stuff you can keep loading into it, we’re just back from a week at center parcs and it swallowed all our luggage (2 adults 1 child) with ease.
Photo attached of car, kind

of shows the tinted rear glass if its any help.
