Sat nav worked well until today and now i get this error on screen

”Please insert  a data medium with valid navigation data”
 

card card has been inserted in the slot 2 all the time,tried on slot 1 but won’t work

i have attached picture with the  card

 

car is  an octavia  2.0Tdi dsg  2013

Does the card show up if you plug it into a computer? Could just be the card has died

Over the years I've had many SD cards just suddenly die, no reason why Skoda SD cards couldn't do the same B)

 

If you do need a replacement look on eBay, no need to pay stupid dealer prices.

From the photo of the card you posted it looks like you have an Amundsen MIB1 (same as me) so you can use either a 5E0 051 236 (don't worry about the suffix, that just indicate which map was originally loaded and since you can update that online it's irrelevant) OR a 5L0 051 236 (again ignore the suffix).

 

The 5L0 051 236 is for the MIB2 Amundsen but it definitely DOES work in a MIB1 Amundsen - I been using one for the last few months with MIB1 maps loaded on it.

 

If you use a 5E0 051 236 and newer maps you'll probably need to reformat it to FAT32 with either 4K or 2K cluster sizes in order for the maps to fit as the card is only 8GB.
