I have a 2002 MK1 Octavia hatch auto..when I select reverse I can hear the reverse beep but extremely low..any ideas? Better speaker perhaps?  

Check behind the drivers seatbelt anchor (behind the plastic cover) and see if the speaker is covered in dust or just dying a death. Easy to replace if you can pick up another from a breakers.
