Clunk Noise

Featured Replies

Hi everyone and a happy new year,

today I went to our local zoo and I noticed some clunks from my car. So I did some test drives to locate it or bring it to clunk.

first of all my car:

2016 octavia rs with DSG

Allmost 50.000 km

TSI

what I noticed so far:

- in 1 to 3 gear > accelerating and stop immediatley pushing the gas > clunk

- driving a strong hill under load there is a rubber noise

- putting in stand the position of gearbox from P to N to D > clunk

is there a way to check engine / dsg mount and dogbone?

I think its the failure.... what do you think?

Could be anti rollbar bushes.

It isn't banging about, so I'd say it looks fine. Maybe someone with better knowledge will be along soon.
