Has anybody done a diy regas of a mk2 1.2htp Fabia? Facing the car which is the low pressure side you need to connect to, is it the one one the left with the sight glass?

Sight glass, I'd doubt if you will find one of them on car AC systems!

 

If you are using a DIYer top up can of gas/oil, it will only fit on one side of the system and that is the Low side, the Hi side has a different fill point size to avoid problems!

Not factory and/or not air-con I think.
