OBDeleven 1.5tsi SE L

Featured Replies

I've done a search for this but  ouldnt find what I was after, so apologies if this has already been discussed!

Next week I will take a delivery of a brand new Octavia 1.5 tsi SE L and I wondered if its worth me buying the OBDeleven device. What can I expect to unlock using it and what other benefits are there? I've had vcds for years but it only works with older cars as its a non genuine cable, I love the benefits it brings.

If OBDeleven is worthwhile then which one should I buy and does it work with phone software? This is all new to me so apologies if they're stupid questions!

OBD Eleven can do almost as much as vcds as far as I'm aware, you can do long coding with it too if you buy the pro license. The new device is compatible with both android and iOS although I would stick to using android as the iOS version is still in beta. The different pricing is down to what's included, the device is the same, the price is for extras like included pro license. You can use the device without pro license but you can't do long coding

All I'm looking to do is switch on a few of the hidden options to be honest. I assume I won't therefore need the pro version? Am I correct?

To activate things it has apps that cost credits. But I think pro is still the better option to make changes as credits can be expensive. If you scroll down on the link it tells you what can and can't be done between basic and pro.

The apps have also been known to have unexpected side effects, as they are not always 100% correct - things change between model years and the apps don't always keep up.

Go for the Pro version ...
