Hi, can anyone help please?

Mk 11 vRS Octavia facelift 2013. 

Amundsen rns315 screen locked asking for update cd. I updated the unit a couple of years ago with card but will not accept it now. Is there any advice to unlock the screen please?

As it’s a canbus car then have you tried pulling the plug out the back to kill the power and see if it’ll reset itself?

 

or just disconnect the battery for 30 seconds or so.

 

surely these units don’t lock themselves out when in need of an update? That’d be poor play from VAG if it does.

Thanks Vrsburnzy, just tried it but unfortunately still the same 😪

It's likely the software has corrupted itself and it needs recovering.

 

I don't think many (if any) amundsen+ update images have made it online, I've certainly never found one. Unless @Rustynuts has any ideas, it'll either need a trip to a dealer or possibly replacing.

Seems some are now online, at least they appear to be on a German forum. As your unit seems to be on 0310, you probably want the SKODA_EU_1508-0329 update. If you try it, it's completely at your own risk and I take no responsibility...

I have updates for the Skoda units, but I also have a couple here doing exactly as yours is and will not update.

Yes, because there's nothing to lose. If it works you get your unit back. If it fails then you still have a unit which doesn't work.

@obnoven Thanks so much for posting that. I have used the torrent download today and managed to burn it onto CD and successfully fixed a similar issue to what the OP was having. I spent hours searching for a solution and I am so please I saw your post.
