Skoda Octavia 2.0TDI CR ( 150ps ) DSG DPF 2015MY Laurin & Klement questions?

Featured Replies

Found one of these close by that looks to be a bargain, but I've got a couple of questions.

How would the DPF be on this model? I do a lot of short journeys, would it be a concern?

Anything else to look out for on that age and model? Thanks.

How many miles has it done. Has it got service history. DSG box should have had oil changed at 40k. Check if water pump has been done. Short journeys not ideal for DPF.

It's done 50k, full service history, unsure as to water pump and DSG service, literally just spotted it on a Facebook advert.

I only do 3 to 5k a year, is the DPF still a potential problem on more modern diesels?

If you do that low mileage I would buy a petrol.

That's what I'm looking for, but automatic petrol estate cars for less than 10k are like rocking horse poo, lol, so I just thought I'd ask about this one as it looked like a bargain, but not if it's a potential DPF time bomb.

Short journeys with a diesel fitted with a dpf are dpf killers. You can get away with it if you do the odd long run of more than 50 miles, but for lots of short runspetrol is definitely the way to go.
