Lady buyer looking for Skoda advice

Featured Replies

Hello, am currently searching for a decent used car, seen and driven a LOT of cars in the last 4 months and still looking. Skoda have been on my radar as a good option.  Today I thought I may have found a decent 2009 Fabia, very tidy overall and drives well, but it has an advisory on the last MOT which concerns me. Some googling led me to this forum so I’m going to hop over to the Fabia section and see if anyone has any advice.  Thanks (and hello) if you’ve read this 🙂 and if you have any thoughts on “coolant leak” advisories on a Fabia then perhaps you’d look out for my next post!

We had a similar problem with our Fabia and it was a corroded  bottom outlet on the radiator and had to replace the whole radiator to cure the problem completely

A warm welcome to the Forum !  Hope you get the right answer.

Thank you! Have now had the car all checked over, new brakes & discs fitted, and we changed the cam belt and water pump as we weren’t quite sure if / when this was done last. Mechanic found no signs of any leaking so fingers crossed we’re in good shape. Thank you all for taking the time to post here.
