Hi all just a quick question has anyone fitted a ABS pump before?.

if so how hard is it whats the procedure on removal and refitting thanks.

am only asking because me mate has a 59 plate face lift skoda and his ABS pump is leaking from underneath the pump so am asking for some advice to pass on to him cheers.

If you have to ask for advice you should probably take the car to a garage, because an ABS pump failure gives you a "Hollywood brake failure".

A thought that's what this forum was for help and advice.

It's not massively hard although you should use VCDS or similar to cycle the pump after fitting to remove any trapped air.

 

You'll also need to code the new pump so make sure you record the previous code!

Thanks for that al let him no but as finding codes wouldn't no were to start so a think it's a trip to the dealer for him to sort out.
