Some bullet points about the new lifter kit

Featured Replies

Just wanted to make everyone aware about things I've spotted with new lifter kit as its been developed, with Briskoda and Jope Public in mind. These are:

  • There is play in the ball joints once attached to the lifter, but if you look at your boot struts there is the same play. I can just foresee this being a possible gripe.
  • Insertion of the bracket requires a degree of force and requires undoing of wing bolts/slam panel bolt and the lifting of both a bit to ease insertion of the bracket. Once attached though, there's no difference in these panels as a result of the lifter bracket.
  • The above could cause surface damage to any desired surface finish. However even the least logical of you lot should realise that its hidden away anyway, so is not of any real concern for those who want a visually perfect bracket when it has been removed again for whatever reason. :)

But it's all good. :) Hopefully full production will kick off early next week, of the bracket, and I should be told a price tomorrow I would hope (with it being a full normal working day for them)

Thats right. Most people know what a bonnet lifter is. That's why I didnt answer the first. I'm really sorry.

bonnet lifter = easier and more stable than a bonnet on a little stick.

I'm in there all the damn while and always have the "hood" open at shows (like on Sunday)

And yes, I am lazy. I'm even to lazy to give a f*** too. :D

In fairness the standard bonnet 'stick' works well even when it's windy.

It's just a little luxury more than anything and I reckon it will do nicely :)

Also, I feel a kind of warm glow to have developed something in tandem with a company, that no-one else has. I suspect Josh had similar with the alloy sump guard development?

And ColinG with all his pikey mod inventions. :D
