Each time I go back in and try to edit a post to change the lower case 'c' in Virtual cockpit to a capital 'C' to spell Virtual cockpit, it lets me make the change, but when I hit the save button the change doesn't happen.

Just type VC or Virtual Fleapit instead.

I wondered if it was the swear filter!?

It's a bit difficult to suss on my phone so I'll check it out on the PC later. 

Yes it is in the swear filter list but now you'll only be able to have Cockpit in future - no version without a leading capital letter.

If that's gets to be a problem then I'll just remove it totally.

Well, it's an age old (all things are relative) issue where swear filters test for $string but never consider that (in this case) $stringpit is a different string to the one that's found objectionable, and that's not counting how in "UK English" $string in this case is a correct synonym of "valve" or "male chicken" as well as a vulgarism for "male member". I think you're about as close as you'll come to a solution short of re-writing the engine to be capable for testing for %20String and $string%20 to escape issues like Cockpit, (Alfred) Hitchc0ck...

We hardly touch it to be fair  it's a system that has it's foibles.

I've removed it... I reckon we'll know if people are talking about a cockpit or a Cockpit in the virtual sense. Like a VC Virtual Cockpit, Virtual cockpit etc.

Good job you don't live in Scunthorpe or support Arsenal!!

I remember the good old days of the internet when both would get the flters to throw wobblers!  We even had to find an alternative for Scunthorpe - Spudendumthorpe, but of course that was only partially acceptable since cnt is femail where as pudendum is both; but then again maybe it was a bit forward looking to these days when you can choose your own and identify as either.
